Waterfox Classic 2022.11

Waterfox Classic is an open-source, 64-bit web browser maintained by Waterfox Ltd. It preserves the pre-Quantum Firefox experience, making it a strong choice for users who depend on classic extensions and deep interface customization. With privacy‑respecting defaults and ongoing security backports, Waterfox Classic delivers a familiar, efficient browsing environment without unnecessary data collection.

Highlights:

• Supports legacy add-ons (XUL/XPCOM) and complete themes to keep longstanding workflows intact
• NPAPI plugin compatibility where supported by the operating system
• Privacy-first defaults with telemetry disabled and minimal background connections
• Extensive customization, including classic add-ons, userChrome.css, and interface tweaks
• Cross-platform availability for 64-bit Windows, macOS, and Linux
• Regular maintenance with security fixes backported to the Classic codebase

Note: Because it’s based on an older browser engine, some newer web features or sites may not be fully supported. Waterfox Classic is ideal for users who prioritize legacy extension support and customization over the latest web platform features.
